We’re looking for a career professional Software Data Engineer in Raleigh, NC to join us in fulfilling our mission, while utilizing our values of excellence, improvement and connection. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our risk and pricing predictive models and technology platforms that run the models. The technology stack comprises of Java, Informatica, Hadoop, AWS, and Snowflake as part of the solution.
You bring a deep expertise in building and maintaining analytical models, and a bespoke ability to work with your business stakeholders. You’re a consummate team player, with a continuous improvement mindset, who can design and lead code reviews. You are comfortable in a highly visible role reporting to the Senior Manager, Data & Analytics Engineering in the IT Organization.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and maintain risk analytics models written in Java (future potential supporting Python based models)
Build and maintain the necessary frameworks and technology architecture for data pipelines (ETL / ELT) and machine learning pipelines
Contribute actively to processes needed to achieve operational excellence in all areas, including project management and system reliability.
Design, Build and launch new data pipelines in production in partnership with the business stakeholders.
Design and support of new machine learning pipelines as well as dashboards and reports in production.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or other technical fields.
7+ years of strong experience in back-end software engineering in Java, SQL, Python and Data Analysis
7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, BI, or Data Warehousing using tools like Informatica, Databricks, Talend, Snowflake.
5+ years in development of data pipelines/ETL for data ingestion, data preparation, data integration, data aggregation, feature engineering, etc.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate with business stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in risk modeling and analytics in financial services companies.
Working knowledge of AWS ETL tools like Glue, Athena, SQS triggers, Step functions and Tableau.
