About the Job
VAE. Inc. seeks a Software Delivery Manager with a demonstrated history of program execution and product delivery into government and commercial environments. The Delivery Manager will define, scope and manage one or more projects of medium size/complexity and will work with senior leadership, engineering and key stakeholders to ensure technical and/or business objectives are achieved. Typical projects may include the entire lifecycle from requirements through to deployment or specific parts of the lifecycle of a larger project.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach project teams and drive successful delivery of highest value features.
- Develop schedules that support the business objectives, timelines, budgets, resources, milestones, and project deliverables.
- Lead teams in implementing Scrum to maximize velocity.
- Work with the Product Owner to ensure highest value features are delivered at agreed time.
- Actively participate in assisting the team resolving issues and escalate as needed.
- Prepare and conduct periodic project status reports to update project governance teams and executive management regularly on progress, risks and issues.
- Manages project execution to achieve highest value project deliverables within the established schedule and budget.
- Track progress daily through burn up, burn down and velocity tracking.
- Understand and help manage product back log.
- Ensuring the responsible product lines deliver on current and future product roadmap commitments, executing appropriate business rhythms and processes necessary to achieve short and long-term objectives.
- Own key strategic decisions and orchestrate cross-functional relationships across program management, engineering, sales, business development, production, and quality assurance.
- Develop competitive analysis for existing and proposed future products to support business case and sales team.
- Drive product strategies through product roadmaps that address market trends, customer needs and competitive positioning and execute these plans.
- Oversee implementation of 3rd party partner strategies as defined in collaboration with strategy team.
- Lead voice-of-customer activities and drive solutions within the product offerings.
- Defining product/service value propositions for offerings.
- Manage sustaining and product margin improvement initiatives.
- Drive a culture of precision-delivery and high accountability for meeting plans.
- Challenge the organization to drive technical and process innovations and robust solution development into the current portfolio of contracts and customers.
Job Requirements:
• 12+ years of prior relevant experience
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
