Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field 1-2 years of experience in software development, through either internships, co-op programs, or post-college employment
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or C++
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements
Desired Skills
- Experience with web development frameworks, such as Django or React
- Familiarity with database management systems, such as SQL or NoSQL databases
- Exposure to software testing, including unit testing and automated testing frameworks
- Experience working in a military or defense environment, or a strong interest in supporting defense projects
- Basic understanding of software modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Familiarity with the U.S. Marine Corps- systems, processes, or modeling and simulation tools is a plus
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to contribute to documentation and report findings

- Collaborates with senior developers and project teams to understand software requirements based on the U.S. Marine Corps' mission needs
- Develops, tests, and maintains software solutions that support the U.S. Marine Corps' modeling and simulation efforts
- Implements and manages software version control and build processes to ensure consistency and reliability in software deployments
- Assists in the development and maintenance of automated testing processes to enhance software quality
- Supports the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of software and system components in collaboration with other team members
- Participates in code reviews, providing feedback and learning from more experienced developers
- Contributes to the documentation of software components, processes, and system architectures.
- Stays current with emerging software development trends and technologies to continuously improve your skills and the team's capabilities
