Norsk Titanium's Software Developer is responsible for successfully developing new and existing software in support of Norsk Titanium's business objectives. They suggest and implement improvements in projects, and drive software adoption and deployment through internal processes. They are integral to supporting the development of parts through RPD® technology.
In a typical day, your expertise:
- Develops new and existing code in accordance with the given objectives of assigned projects
- Performs reviews on existing codebase and suggests areas of improvement
- Develops scalable, highly available solutions
- Deploys and configures software via CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines
- Adheres to software configuration management practices, where applicable
- Design, develops, and implements software consistent with the development process and contemporary software techniques
- Interfaces with other departments to participate in specification, design, code, and test reviews.
- Provides documentation of software products
- Follows and contributes to improvement of the software development process
- Provides timely production-support and problem resolution
- Interfaces with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications; provides maintenance information
- Performs debugging and unit testing of software products
- Analyzes and investigates major software engineering tasks
- Defines design specifications and parameters
- Adheres to and promotes applicable Policies, Procedures, Safety Rules & Regulations and Security Guidelines
- Other duties and responsibilities as required for the successful operation of business

We're thrilled to find candidates with:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in software development/engineering role
- Experience with tight loop parallel processing and robust thread safety practices
- Experience with Java, C#, and React preferred
- Experience with SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) practices and code versioning systems (Git, optionally SVN (Subversion))
- Ability to assess and understand medium to large codebases quickly
- Fluent mastery of English language

- Ability to read, understand and adhere to Quality Management System-regulated documents, including processes and procedures
- This position will require access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls. U.S. person or ITAR export license required

Physical Requirements:
- The ability to sit in front of a computer for 8 or more hours daily
- The ability to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
- The ability to travel domestically and internationally by car and plane up to 10% of time
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools and controls, to operate a computer and telephone keypad
- The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate
