Job Overview:
We are seeking for an experienced Software developer. This role will focus on developing mission-critical capabilities for modern, cloud-based environments, leveraging DevSecOps technologies for deployment automation, service-oriented architectures, and modern code management tools and programming languages. You will be responsible for architecting and developing software as part of an application modernization project aimed at transforming existing enterprise software into modern cloud-native applications. This role will significantly contribute to reducing launch times and increasing release frequencies, particularly in deploying tools to AWS cloud.
In addition to these responsibilities, you would be collecting sciences, technology, and tradecraft measuring and modeling the Globe to provide three-dimensional accuracy of every point in, on, or above the Earth.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience depending on education requirements
- Architect and develop software for an application modernization project
- Migrate mission-critical capabilities to modern, cloud-based environments utilizing DevSecOps technologies.
- Lead the transformation of existing enterprise software into cloud-native applications.
- Enhance the government customer’s tool stack and deploy solutions to the AWS cloud.
- Utilize modern code management tools and programming languages to support deployment automation and service-oriented architectures
- Top Secret (with the ability to obtain SCI)
- Strong expertise in C++, Visual Basic.NET, and C#
- Proficient in software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services).
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases such as Amazon RDS and Postgres SQL.
- Experience with web-related protocols and technologies (e.g., web servers, HTTP, SSL).
- Proven experience with AWS-based architectures and tools.
- Understanding of custom code development and reviews.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies and workflows.
- Knowledge of software development and sustainment practices.
Experience Preferences:
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD.
- AWS certification (e.g., Developer, DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).
- Experience with ArcGIS or other geospatial technologies
Physical Requirements:
- Adequate vision to perform tasks effectively, including close and distance work.
- Good hearing ability to effectively communicate and respond to auditory cues.
- Capacity to perform repetitive tasks consistently with minimal breaks, demonstrating endurance and stamina throughout the work shift.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience
