Software Development Advisor - Fortuna BMC

The Software Development, Advisor will serve as a Senior Application Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a focus on developing, modifying, and maintaining Autosys and sFTP applications in the client's production environment. This role involves integrating, upgrading, and customizing applications, performing system modifications, and supporting day-to-day operations. Key activities include Certificate Updates, PGP Encryption management, and ensuring seamless application performance.

WORKSITE: 100% Remote- preferred West Coast or Mountain Time Zones

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Develop, configure, and maintain Autosys for scheduling, monitoring, and reporting jobs.
• Customize Autosys jobs and interfaces based on business requirements.
• Manage sFTP environments within the enterprise.
• Design, develop, and maintain Linux shell scripts and Windows batch files.
• Troubleshoot system performance issues and provide production support (10+ years of experience required).
• Perform upgrades and updates, including managing SSL Certificates.
• Implement and manage PGP Encryption
• Utilize SSH authentication across both Windows and Linux environments.
• Coordinate or perform database-related tasks.
• Review system design and recommend improvements to enhance performance and reliability.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience as a Linux and Microsoft System Administrator.
• Extensive experience Linux shell scripting in enterprise environments.
• Windows batch file development and maintenance
• sFTP implementation and troubleshooting
• Ability to write specifications using templates.
• Experience logging and recording modifications to systems such as PeopleSoft.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed for critical tasks.
• High attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.
