**Job Description**
As a Director in OCI Compute, you will build cross organization teams, such as quality and developer efficiency. The quality engineering team will work closely with core service teams to evaluate gaps in resiliency, evaluate service and code quality, define a quality bar across compute, implement automation to audit quality and service resiliency. In addition, you will lead the compute data engineering and data science organization that is responsible for ingesting, transforming, maintaining and analyzing cross compute data for various business needs such as improving utilization, improving repair time and availability and enable capacity forecasting. A background in building resilient cloud services as well as in data engineering is a must. A proven background in hiring and building high performance engineering teams is required to be successful in this role.

**Responsibilities**
+ Hiring high performance engineering teams including senior software engineers and program managers.
+ Direct, lead and coach a team of high performing software engineers who will build compute infrastructure services.
+ Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry best practices on service availability and reliability, build, deployment and continuous integration practices, testing methodology and security.
+ Lead engineering teams via measurable goals and KPIs for quality, resiliency and availability.
+ Lead the design and implementation of industry standard data engineering platforms at scale to support tens of services within compute and our partner organizations.
+ Be a business owner for your area, independently lead and represent your area up to the SVP level.
+ This role will require excellent communication and soft skills and ability to drive change through influence across the wider compute organization.

US: Hiring Range: from $120,300 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
