Software Development Engineer II, Global Logistics - Amazon

Description As a Software Development Engineer II in Global Logistics, you will be responsible for developing scalable systems and services, utilizing cutting-edge technology (e.g., machine learning, big data, etc.) to enable world-class global logistics solutions. Your goal will be to make the cross-border shipping experience from all origin marketplaces as simple, fast, and reliable as domestic shipping for our customers in 190+ countries. Key job responsibilities - Leverage the capabilities of world-class logistics providers and internal Amazon supply chain solutions to increase selection and lower costs for our customers. - Build large-scale distributed systems handling millions of packages being shipped through our network, utilizing workflows, optimization algorithms, machine learning systems, etc. - Solve complex problems in worldwide transportation through innovative solutions. - Provide technical leadership to the team, drive best practices, mentor other engineers, and promote continuous improvements in engineering excellence. - Support the rapid evolution and growth of the transportation network by working on key initiatives. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
