Software Development Engineer in Test, Privacy - Meta

Summary:

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) within the new Technical Audit team, you'll ensure the delivery of a high-quality software to support all of our product lines. At Facebook's Tech Audit team, SDETs are composed of one part software engineer, one part of privacy and security engineer, one part program manager. You'll be responsible for building and executing automated testing and infrastructure across multiple products and platforms. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented engineer with strong cross-functional skills who has a passion for building great software products and improving engineering and testing efficiency. You will ensure the release of all Facebook's products that our Privacy standards are upheld and exceed not just today but also in the future!

Required Skills:

Software Development Engineer in Test, Privacy Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement automated test frameworks and tools to fill test gaps

2. Manage contingent engineers on the team to ensure high output volume

3. Partner with infrastructure and product engineering teams to ensure automated testing is fully enabled

4. Independently drive goals as a project manager - tracking and reporting on status, escalating risks, and finding solutions to obstacles

5. Drive a culture of quality within Facebook’s Tech Audit and within the Centralized Privacy organization by advocating for high quality, quickly escalating issues found by automation or blocking test execution, and helping other teams understand the importance of testing

6. Design and implement high-quality automated tests to verify privacy compliance and release readiness

7. 2+ years experience in developing and analyzing technical automated test frameworks and infrastructure.

8. 2+ years work experience in a role coding in Python, PHP, Java, C/C++ (or equivalent language) including code maintenance and review.

9. 2+ years experience building automation strategies and estimates test efforts

10. 2+ years experience in assisting in the planning, tracking, and control of test environments and data

11. Experience writing test automation test code and frameworks that can simulate complex multi-system scenarios

12. Experience with automation testing types to include (Unit, Functional, Load, Security, Behavioral, Integration, Component, Contract, End-to-End)

13. Experience in the review of QA procedures, elimination of redundancies and efficiency improvements

Public Compensation:

$139,000/year to $199,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
