Primary Purpose

The Software Development Engineer – Web Applications will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining web applications hosted in AWS. Work with a variety of technologies including AWS AppSync, Node.js, GraphQL, React, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, and integrating with AWS Bedrock(or other frameworks) based genAI services/APIs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and enhance web applications that meet our high standards for performance, reliability, and scalability. 

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Node.js, React, and REST orGraphQL. 

• Utilize AWS services such as AppSync/API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, and RDS to build scalable and efficient backend systems. 

• Implement GenAIbased solutions to solve problems in clinical trial workflows like document authoring, agent basedorchestration 

• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. 

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality code. 

• Write and maintain technical documentation for new and existing features. 

• Work in an agile environment and contribute to continuous improvement processes. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner. 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

• 3 or more years of related professional experience. 

• Strong proficiency in developing Single Page Applications (SPA) 

• Strong proficiency in Node.js, React, and GraphQL/REST, TypeScript (python for backend also a plus). 

• Experience with AWS services, particularly AppSync, Lambda, DynamoDB, and RDS. 

• Experience with web application development best practices and design patterns. 

• Familiarity with AWS Bedrock/Langchain or comparable APIs and frameworks, experience working with data-science/AI teams 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer. 

• Experience with serverless architecture and microservices. 

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. 

• Understanding of security best practices for web applications. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. 

• Strong multitasking, problem solving, and organizational skills. 

• Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment. 

• Satisfactory background check required.
