Software Development Manager III, Kuiper Ground Gateway Services - Amazon

Description Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Kuiper Ground Gateway Services team is responsible for the software and services that operate on ground gateways and terminals. This team oversees the development of architecture, solutions, and a roadmap for managing embedded systems within antennas, as well as applications for site maintenance, telemetry, over-the-air updates, and various other features. As the Software Development Manager of this team, you will guide a group of engineers in addressing these challenges, while also focusing on team development and upholding a high standard for delivery quality. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of engineering team management experience - Bachelor's degree - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent - 5+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
