This role is at the heart of the AV customer journey to find movies and TV shows to watch, with ownership of the technology that determines what to suggest to each customer right when they are looking for the next video to watch
Our mission is to eliminate the selection problem and reduce the customer work in discovering videos by placing at the top of the page the right content that the customer would like to watch at that time on that device i.e
building a personalized home page experience tailored to individual customer tastes
We do this by mining through hundreds of different recommendation strategies, historical customer streaming behavior and understanding customer-device-time of day relationships
Apart from the machine learning challenges on rich video data sets, we also deal with core engineering problems of delivering a low latency real time personalized home page experience, building a global solution and scaling to millions of Video customers worldwide
We are looking for a talented manager who can contribute to our world-class engineering culture, who has a track record of delivering meaningful results for customers while simultaneously investing in each team member's career and overall skill set
