Software Engineer, Application Development and Maintenance - Cardinal Health

About the Job
This position will be responsible for assuming the development duties of a J2EE based application with a significant number of integration points into a variety of backend systems. The right candidate will be a technical developer for applications that rely heavily on Java.
Responsibilities
+ Work closely with internal team and technical lead on implementation of design.
+ Work effectively within large, matrixed project teams.
+ Collaborate with internal peers
+ Follow Cardinal Health’s software development lifecycle
+ Lead small to mid-sized technical initiatives and provide technical direction and input
+ Act as technical mentor on team to provide skill uplift to junior and mid-level team members
+ Utilizes development skills to build (code) and unit test new systems functionality per technical specifications, with deliverables to include code builds and documented unit test results.
+ Possess strong problem solving and communication skills. Must be able to articulate an issue, accurately identify solution options and communicate the best course of action to the internal stakeholders.
+ Enforcing sound development practices and ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions
+ Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully
_Qualifications_
+ 5-8 years of experience, preferred
+ Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
+ Background in developing applications in J2EE, Micro Service/Rest Service/Web Flux, JPA, SOAP UI/Postman, Angular, Springboot, GIT or equivalent Version Management Tool
+ Strong experience in SQL
+ Other Preferred experience witn Apigee, Kafka, Google Pub-Sub, Pcf/Tanzu, PostGREs SQL, Google Cloud Platform, Concourse Pipeline,
+ Experience in an Agile environment
Anticipated salary range: $93,500 - $133,600
