Position Overview:
As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and refining test software that ensures the quality and performance of innovative products. Your work will involve automating test and measurement equipment, enhancing existing software, and providing critical tools for fault isolation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Improve Test Software: Create new and enhance existing test software written in Python to effectively test custom silicon and optical modules.
- Automation: Automate custom and commercial test and measurement equipment using USB, GPIB, and TCP/IP interfaces.
- Code Review and Enhancement: Review current code, implement improvements, and make changes to enhance cycle time, quality, and reliability of our products.
- Fault Isolation Support: Provide software tools for skilled technicians to diagnose and isolate complex optical, electrical, and communication issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in computer programming and software architecture in C.
- Extensive experience with Python scripting.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Effective collaboration and teamwork abilities.
Desired Skills:
- High accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with optical products is highly desirable.
