We are seeking a passionate and innovative Permanent Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who enjoys working on complex problems and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Our ideal candidate is a forward-thinking individual with a strong understanding of software development, including experience with Autostore, WMS, WES OR WCS. and a minimum of 5 years in the field.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining our software systems. You will be expected to:
1. Develop high-quality software design and architecture.
2. Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
3. Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
4. Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
5. Review and debug code.
6. Perform validation and verification testing.
7. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
8. Document development phases and monitor systems.
9. Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar role.
2. Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment.
3. Knowledge of coding languages and frameworks/systems (e.g., AngularJS, Git).
4. Experience with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks (e.g., Hibernate).
5. Ability to learn new languages and technologies.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude.
8. Attention to detail.
9. BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
10. Proven experience with Autostore, WMS, WES OR WCS.
