About the Job
Duties: Performance testing and engineering for core banking apps hosted on the mainframe. Evaluate client behavior, use cases, and build load models with appropriate transactions per second, or # of concurrent users, apply pacing vs think time, triangulate geographical positions with latency, and chaos engineering. Collect metrics and validate production volumes to build testing load models. Design test approaches. Write test plans and create test scenarios. Code complex automated for web services, SOAP, REST APIs, and MQ. Measure application performance and processing ceilings to identify tuning opportunities or prepare for growth. Perform validation for fail-over/recovery scenario, measure any impact to response times/interruption, and identify processing ceilings to prepare for increased growth and peak opportunities. Evaluate application dependencies/cross-impacts, multiple tech stacks. Drive triage workstreams for defects. Review business requirements, functional specifications. Plan application capacity and test approach. Execute tests in an integrated environment with production data on behalf of application clients or platform services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Test Engineer, Senior Associate-Projects, Programmer Analyst, I.T. Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Test Engineer, Senior Associate- Projects, Programmer Analyst, I.T. Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Microservices; Java; JQuery; Shell Scripting; SQL; REST; SOAP; WebSphere; Dynatrace; DB2; Splunk; Automated Testing; Performance Testing; Regression Testing; Smoke Testing; System Integration Testing; and Unit Testing.
Job Location: 1111 Polaris Parkway, Columbus, OH 43240. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
