Overview:
The Systems Analyst/Developer will design and specify information systems solutions while providing highly technical direction in the development of new or existing applications to address both basic and complex challenges. This role serves as a principal application designer for major modifications, utilizing analytical and technical skills, and available technology and tools to evaluate client requirements and processes. The candidate will deliver technologically sound solutions and may engage in day-to-day support activities and special projects, directing and mentoring less experienced personnel.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete and oversee systems analysis, design, and development for both basic and complex projects.
- Serve as a key individual contributor on complex projects, maintaining an excellent functional understanding of the supported applications.
- Direct and mentor less experienced resources while coordinating development tasks on projects of varying scope.
- Prepare and manage the technical components of project plans, collaborating with Development, Operations, and Technology staff from analysis to user acceptance testing.
- Execute detailed test plans and perform debugging as necessary.
- Analyze complex interrelationships among programs and interfacing applications to implement new uses of information technologies that align with strategic objectives.
- Prepare clear technical and functional specifications, including charts and diagrams to analyze problems, and review documentation from junior staff.
- Provide assessments of required tasks and timeframes for project scope, ensuring efficient operation and effectiveness of supported applications.
- Recommend technology and process improvements to benefit the organization and address deficiencies.
- Adhere to risk and regulatory standards, escalating risk-related issues to management as needed.

- Complete other related duties, including leading due diligence, cost/benefit analyses, or business studies.
Scope of Responsibilities:
This position operates under the supervision of the Technology Team Lead and is capable of independent work on high-level systems analysis and technical development phases. The role involves managing project activities for various scopes and monitoring staff performance. The job holder will interact with senior management, clients, and vendors, providing backup to higher management and serving as a technical representative on committees or projects as required.
Education and Experience Required:
- Experience with: C#, JavaScript, PowerShell, Graph API, ASP.NET, SQL, Data Lake, and data warehousing/catalog.
- Automation experience using GitLab, Ansible, OpenShift, Artifactory, Terraform, and Automic is a plus.
- Minimum of an Associate's degree and 5 years of systems analysis/application development experience, or a combined total of 7 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 5 years in systems analysis/application development.
- Familiarity with application development software and hardware platforms.
- Proficiency with personal computers and project management, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and experience presenting to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and lateral thinking abilities.
- Experience coordinating between applications and business units and driving project milestones.
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Understanding of the Bank's application framework.
- Subject matter expertise in relevant business areas with knowledge of supported applications.
- Advanced knowledge of applications and their integration.
- Ability to work both in teams and independently.
- Strong multitasking abilities on complex projects.
- Action-oriented and proactive approach, with an advanced focus on system-wide projects beyond routine operations.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
