If you are passionate about quality, problem solving, and collaborating with teams across the globe, we believe you will be a phenomenal fit!What you will do:Capture and define requirements, and craft solutions using technologies such as JavaScript, Java and ReactOwn features, applications or libraries, meeting or defining evaluation criteria for testability, scalability, and performanceEnsure proper code and test coverage by writing effective unit and integration testsWork with QA to maintain a high-level of software quality, helping to adjust and adapt solutions and processes as neededWork independently, collaborate with other members of your team, and mentor junior membersDevelop and maintain high-quality, efficient, and reusable code, while troubleshooting and problem-solving methodically and thoroughly, optimizing existing solutions, and refactoring the existing code base.Exercise your creative problem solving capabilities to optimize existing solutions and work with other teams to define a path forwardParticipate in on-call support and production troubleshooting, which may occur during off-hours, to ensure the continuity and reliability of the PlayStation NetworkWhat you will bring:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or at least 5 years of relevant professional experience3-5+ years professional software development experience (Java, JavaScript)Proficient in customer facing UI development (JavaScript/HTML5/CSS3)Experience interacting with RESTful APIsExperience collaborating with multi functional partners, especially with product, design, and server teamsProficiency in performance optimization or comparable areas within your current fieldDesired Skills:Experience with SPA frameworks such as React, Angular, Ember.js, or similarExperience building back-end services using Object-Oriented languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, or similarExperience with Relational DatabasesExperience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologiesExperience with hosting applications and services in AWS Please refer to our Candidate Privacy Notice for more information about how we process your personal information, and your data protection rights.At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role is eligible for SIE’s top-tier benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program and coveted employee discounts for Sony products.
