About the Job
We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join our client’s dynamic team
This role involves a diverse range of tasks across software requirements analysis, design, implementation, documentation, hardware-software integration, troubleshooting, and software verification testing.
Develop, maintain, upgrade, and port embedded product software and support software to enhance project/system functionality.
Collaborate within the software project team and with other engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, and Systems Engineering.
Ensure technical approaches are aligned with established engineering principles and practices.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in object-oriented design and C++ coding.
Strong experience in unit testing of embedded software.
Familiarity with version control and issue tracking tools.
Active security clearance
Skills Preferred:
Experience in integrating or testing software on bare metal or with real-time operating systems like vxWorks and Linux/Unix derivatives.
Ability to utilize software modeling tools such as Enterprise Architect or MagicDraw (Cameo).
Experience Required:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in real-time embedded software development and/or software testing.
Experience Preferred:
Experience in developing and troubleshooting communications, device drivers, and I/O systems.
Familiarity with NI TestStand.
Understanding of weapon systems, munitions, and combat vehicle functionality.
Experience with GitLab or other CI/CD tools.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
Education Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
