About the role:
Samsara’s IAM Development team is responsible for providing secure, industry standard authentication and authorization functionality in our customer-facing products. Working closely with Product Management and Information Security, the IAM team ensures a streamlined experience for customers while rigorously protecting their identities and data.
This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Area and NYC Metro Area.

In this role, you will:
• Contribute to product development on large scope efforts from design through post-deployment support
• Work closely with cross functional partners both within and outside of engineering, incorporating and adapting to stakeholder feedback.

Minimum requirements for the role:
• 2+ years experience in a hands-on technical role
• Mastery of programming/coding practices (Golang and/or Python preferred)
• Able to drive and deliver projects from design through post-deployment delivery
• Experience in Identity and Access Management
• Experience with CI/CD tools - GitHub Actions and/or BuildKite
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc)
• An ability to estimate, communicate, and deliver upon project milestones with your team
An ideal candidate also has:
• Experience or familiarity with mobile application development
• Experience working with AWS
• Experience with Linux operating system(s)
• Experience with Application Security concepts
• Experience with CI/CD tools - Buildkite and Github Actions
• Strong communication skills and desire to collaborate across teams
• Confidence progressing vague problem descriptions through to elegant delivered solutions
Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy: Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles. For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually.
