The Cloud Security team within Azure Edge and Platform's Enterprise and Security organization is responsible for making the operating systems used in Microsoft PCs, devices and the Azure cloud trustworthy. We produce cutting edge data protection, hardening and cryptography features such as BitLocker, KeyGuard and Hypervisor Code Integrity (HVCI). These tools equip device owners, manufacturers, and service operators to define how devices are used, even in the presence of hostile software and attackers. Cloud Security safeguards user secrets, giving confidence that even sophisticated modern threats cannot access data outside where and to whom they are intended.
As a Software Engineer II on our team, you will lead design and code reviews across feature areas and participate in all stages of our engineering lifecycle. Engineers on the team are expected demonstrate breadth, depth, and leadership. You will work with multiple partner teams and are expected to coordinate across many product lines.

**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical disciplie AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, or Assembly
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 2+ years of experience working on Windows, Linux or other Operating System (OS) development.
+ 1+ years working with cryptographic algorithms and implementation for Operating Systems.
**Other Requirements:**
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:?
o Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, or Assembly.
+ Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, or Assembly.
+ Proficient design, coding, problem solving and analytical skills.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
