As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Cloud Engineering department, you will play a pivotal role in the design, deployment, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure. Collaborating closely with development teams, you will ensure efficient deployment and management of cloud services. Job responsibilities
• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based systems using AWS, Kubernetes, and Jenkins
• Work on AWS Cloud services like compute, storage, databases, network, application integration, monitoring & alerting, Identity & Access Management.
• Work in an Infrastructure as code environment or understands it very clearly.
• Gain hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Participate in the design and development of cloud-based solutions
• Ensure the security and scalability of cloud-based systems
• Build and deploy microservices on cloud-based systems
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
• Formal training or certification on back-end engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, and Jenkins
• Proficiency in Python scripting language
• Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification
• Experience with Cloud formation/Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization
• Experience with serverless architecture and technologies such as AWS Lambda
• Familiarity with other scripting languages such as Bash and PowerShell
• AWS security services like Guard Duty, Inspector, Cognito, WAF & Shield.
• Familiar with various automated testing and tools
