Software Engineer Lead - Concord Group Insurance

Concord Group Insurance is seeking a Technical Lead that will be instrumental in shaping the technical direction of our projects while providing expert guidance to a team of skilled software engineers. This role combines strategic planning, project management, and hands-on development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing scalable systems, optimizing team performance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.





This position is considered hybrid, you must be able to work on-site and attend in-person group meetings as needed.




Responsibilities





+ Lead a team of developers in the design, development, and implementation of software applications.



+ Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, and Design Teams to define the technical requirements and outline the project deliverables.



+ Establish and implement technical standards, including coding standards, tools, or platforms, to ensure high-quality code and maintain product consistency.



+ Mentor and support team members through code reviews, performance evaluations, and by providing technical guidance.



+ Manage the day-to-day activities of the development team within an Agile/Scrum environment.



+ Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.



+ Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, and advocate for the adoption of new technologies that will benefit the project.



+ Ensure documentation of the software development process is comprehensive and up-to-date.



+ Coordinate with other team leads and stakeholders to ensure cohesiveness of the overall project.





Requirements





+ BA/BS degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent work experience required



+ Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Information Technology



+ Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred



+ Knowledge of the following:





+ SQL Server



+ Microsoft Visual Studio



+ Microsoft .Net Framework



+ C# development



+ Microsoft Office Suite
