HX5 is seeking a qualified Software Engineer in support of the Electronic Warfare and Air Combat operations program at Hill Air Force Base.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Experienced with Information Technology (IT) systems, as well as the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software, including familiarity with software Verification and Validation processes.
* Have experience with Electronic Warfare and/or Air Combat operations, training,
and development of tactics, techniques, and procedures, as well as Range Infrastructure architectures
and systems
* Experienced with Information Technology (IT) systems, as well as the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software, including familiarity with software Verification and Validation processes
* Experience working on all stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
* Develops, codes, tests, and debugs software and applications using Java
* Designs features and makes improvements based on user experience data
* Completes unit testing to identify and fix programming errors
* Uses common testing and software documentation tools
* Writes software documentation guides
* Collaborates with other members of the software development team
* Recognized as industry leader for given area of expertise
* Provides strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff; provides detailed analyses, evaluation, and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts; consults with client to define needs or problems
* Experience with Information Technology (IT) systems, as well as the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software, including familiarity with software Verification and Validation processes
* Experience with munitions supply systems and munitions processes
* Solid verbal and written communication skills
* Robust time management skills
* Ability to work autonomously, stay on task, and mitigate distractions
* Ability to control priorities and communicate conflicts
* Ability to adapt to changing environments
Education andExperience:
* BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Business Systems and a minimum of five (5) years of Munitions IT experience
* DoD 8570 IAT Level Two (2) certification as outlined in DoD 8570.01-M; to include Security+ or equivalent
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Must be able to travel, including air travel.
