Software Engineer (Product) Responsibilities:
1. Develop, design, create, modify, and/or test software applications or systems for various products or software services.
2. Develop a strong understanding of relevant product area, codebase, and/or systems.
3. Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming, and software engineering.
4. Produce high-quality code with good test coverage using modern abstractions and frameworks.
5. May be assigned to specific group focused on product or infrastructure.
6. Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
7. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
8. Work independently, use available resources to get unblocked, and complete tasks on schedule by exercising strong judgment and problem solving skills.
9. Master internal development standards from developing to releasing code in order to take on tasks and projects with increasing levels of complexity.
10. In connection with these duties, may apply knowledge of the following: Coding in industry-standard languages like C, C++, Java, or C#C, C++, Java, or C#
11. Building large-scale infrastructure applications
12. Creating web applications using Python, PHP, or Ruby
13. Relational databases and SQL
14. and Implementing web interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, or CSS.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
15. Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Requires 24 months of experience involving the following:
16. 1. Coding in C, C++, Java, or C#
17. 2. Building large-scale infrastructure applications
18. 3. Relational databases and SQL
19. 4. Conducting design and code reviews
20. 5. Object-oriented software development 6. Building maintainable and testable code bases including API design and unit testing techniques
21. 7. Multithreading programming and mobile memory management
22. 8. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)
23. 9. Core web technologies: HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
24. 10. Building highly-scalable performant solutions
25. 11. Distributed systems including sharding, consistency, and availability
26. 12. Linux, UNIS, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting
27. 13. Data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, operating systems, computer graphics, or human-computer interaction
28. 14. Applying algorithms and core computer science concepts of real world systems as evidenced by recognizing and matching patterns from different areas of computer science in production systems
29. 15. One of the following client-server communication patterns: REST, GraphQL, gRPC
30. 16. Mobile architecture patterns that can scale to a large number of programmers and teams in one codebase (MVVM, VIPER, modularization, etc.)
31. 17. Dependency injection and scoped access to shared resources
32. 18. Building mobile and desktop web applications using JavaScript, including asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6
33. 19. Browser APIs and optimizing front end performance of web-based applications
34. 20. Front end development of mobile and desktop applications using React, Vue, or Angular
35. 21. Writing code for User Interface components
36. 22. Building tools, linting, and formatting of the codebase
37. 23. Modelling data flows between systems to enable transactional workflows and upstream or downstream integrations and
38. 24. Building secure software with auditable access controls and permissions.
Public Compensation:
$175,000/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
