About the Job
A Software Engineer at Mindex is responsible for fulfilling the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing software applications, features, and functionality aligned to customer requirements. The Software Engineer works alongside other engineers on the team, in an agile environment to devise innovative solutions, elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.
Essential Functions:
+ Assists in determining customer requirements using problem analysis and critical thinking skills; defines and develops clear problem statements that represent customers’ needs and requirements in collaboration with Sr. Software Engineers/Principal Engineer.
+ Design and develop technical software solutions including software architecture.
+ Contribute to examining systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
+ Writes and performs testing that aligns with a methodology, assists in determining the scope for testing requirements agreed-upon by the team or business unit.
+ Documents each aspect of an application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance.
+ Identifies bugs and assists the senior team members in the development process to fix bugs and address customer concerns.
+ Curiosity to learn and advance relevant technical knowledge.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
+ AS or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ 3-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer.
+ Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
+ Experience with all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
+ Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and experience working with AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
Skills & Competencies:
+ C#, ASP.NET
+ Azure DevOps
+ JavaScript, react is nice but not needed
+ SQLServer, MySQL, PGSQL
+ Strong analysis, critical-thinking capabilities & problem-solving skills.
+ Strong focus on exceptional customer service.

The band range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, education, experience, training, certifications, internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at, or near, the top of the range for their role; and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The range for this role is $70,000 - $120,000.

Physical Conditions/Requirements
