General Qualifications Provides engineering and technical direction supporting problem definition, analysis, requirements development and implementation for complex systems in a discipline required to meet technical requirements for DoD/Federal agencies and departments, including: · Makes recommendations and advises on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts; · Performs risk assessments and analysis employing modeling and simulation techniques; · Supports the development, revision, and update of systems engineering documents such as Information Support Plan, Systems Engineering Plan, Test and Evaluation Plan, Program Protection Plan (PPP) and systems performance specifications; · Coordinates and supports Engineering Integrated Product Teams; · Support coordination/development of Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR); · Provides analysis at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal; · Devises modeling and measuring techniques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics; · Evaluates alternatives based on cost, risk, supportability for total systems and component solutions; · Assesses the quality and viability of existing solution architectures and design integrity; · Supports the evaluation of technologies and innovative products; · Develops trade studies based on requirements for system functionality; · Supports evaluation of the performance and effectiveness of candidate designs against thresholds and objectives and provides technical reports documenting results; and · Translates customer requirements into hardware/software specifications. Required Skills · Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or related technical discipline (i.e., Computer Science, Industrial Technology, etc.), <5-yrs. of applied interdisciplinary engineering; · Ability to work independently and in small teams to meet deadlines; · Proficiency with MS Excel / MS Word / MS PowerPoint / SharePoint; and · Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Specialized Skills · Expertise with the appropriate type of engineering, scientific, or technical discipline; · Technical knowledge of the subject program, platform, or initiative; · Proficiency with automated engineering tools, applications, and enterprise management programs used by the subject program, platform, or initiative. |
