Job description
As a Java Software Engineer for Client's Global Risk Systems, you will enhance a geospatial application critical to underwriting and risk management.
The technology stack is Java 1.8 front end on WebSphere Application Server 8.5 hosted on Linux servers, with persistence to Oracle on AIX.
You will design, size, build, and deliver enhancements to remove dependency on an existing technology for file storage, retention, and delivery.
As part of the ELAIS team, you will participate in story refinement, sizing, and acceptance criteria, sprint planning and commitment, daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, and other ceremonies associated with Agile methodology.
You will collaborate with a dedicated and highly experienced development team with specialization in the development of geospatial solutions.
Top 3 must have skill sets:
Minimum 5 years development experience: Java 1.8 (core skills, some front end experience with servlets, security)
JMS / MQ messaging
File storage and retention to NAS storage
Top 3 nice to have skill sets:
UNIX / AIX scripting ksh
Spring Boot
