Position:

Position:  Engineering Software Engineer Intern (Seniors or Masters students) 

Duration: Fall Semester 2024 : ending December 2024 (with option to extend to spring 2025)

Expected Hours:  part-time, 8/10 hrs per week with a maximum of 19 hrs per week (minimum 10, up to 19 hours per week)

Location: Champaign, IL preferred, Research Triangle Park, NC, Redwood City, CA 

Requirements: Working toward an undergraduate or masters degree in Electrical, electronics, computer engineering or computer science

Compensation: Paid

What you will do:

• Assist in design and development of new features for our products and for our ever-growing user base
• Analyze application network protocols and engineer them for our product
• Help improve product performance
• Explore industry and academic research to apply new ideas
• When things break -- and they will -- you are eager and able to help fix things.

 

What makes you an ideal candidate:

• Pursuing a BS (Senior) / MS (preferred) in computer science or data science
• (Relevant) Understanding of Networking fundamentals and networking Hardware
• (Preferred) Understanding of AI and machine learning, algorithms
• Proficient coding skills in C / C++, python, using AI-assisted software development
• Experience with Linux as a development environment
