You’ll play a crucial role in managing, stabilizing, and deploying cloud infrastructure, focusing on AWS. This role includes maintaining Rivian’s cloud-based data infrastructure, deploying new infrastructure as code, and supporting machine learning operations (MLOps). This hands-on internship is ideal for a candidate with an interest in cloud architecture, data operations, and automation.

Responsibilities:

• AWS Infrastructure Management: Work with AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring stability and operational efficiency across data operations.
• Infrastructure as Code: Deploy new infrastructure using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, optimizing for scalability and resilience.
• MLOps Support: Collaborate with the machine learning team to deploy and manage ML pipelines, ensuring robust and scalable ML model operations.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Set up monitoring tools to track cloud performance and support troubleshooting and optimization efforts.
• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of cloud deployments, configurations, and infrastructure processes for future reference.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or a related field with coursework in cloud infrastructure, data operations, or ML.
• Cloud Infrastructure Skills: Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.), and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for automation tasks.
• Data and ML Knowledge: Familiarity with ML operations concepts and data pipeline management.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues.
• 40 hours/week, full-time

Pay Disclosure:

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Internships: The range of pay for internships is 25.00-51.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on location, and other factors permitted by law. 

 

Rivian provides robust wellness benefits, and a medical insurance package for interns, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
