Job Description

This position is located in Washington, D.C. and offers a schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

1. Lead an Agile software development team (approximately 5-7 people);
2. Lead Scrum ceremonies;
3. Deliver done-done features to customers at high velocity;
4. Act as a player-coach, mentoring & coaching team members into highly productive team players;
5. Promote a can-do attitude, engineering mindset, and collaboration as fundamental team values;
6. Influence web application architecture and CI/CD pipeline improvements;
7. Drive continuous improvement by focusing on engineering excellence;
8. Translate business requirements into technical requirements, develop project plans, and work schedules for the scrum development team;
9. Successfully implement software development projects to specification and within scheduled timelines and budget parameters;
10. Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other Agile teams to deliver large initiatives;
11. Work with recruiting to identify, hire, and onboard top industry talent;
12. Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices that can strengthen CoStar’s technology platform and development practices;
13. Adopt an owner-operator mindset and demonstrate full ownership of the product and technical platforms;
14. Act as "Voice of the Customer" when participating in product readiness reviews.

Basic Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college;
2. A track record of commitment to prior employers;
3. 7+ years of relevant development experience;
4. 3+ years’ experience in modern web and database technologies;
5. 3+ years’ experience building large distributed, API-driven systems;
6. 3+ years of experience leading Agile Team(s);
7. Demonstrated expert knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and design patterns;
8. Solid experience with C#, .NET Core, and SQL Server;
9. Experience leading technical teams, working through complex requirements, and offering relevant, timely technical solutions;
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills;
11. Excellent team building, negotiation, and consensus building abilities;
12. Ability to motivate and build high-performance software development teams.

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

1. Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, and Vue is desired;
2. Experience with the AWS platform;
3. Experience with non-relational databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB or ElasticSearch;
4. Experience with relational databases (preferably SQL Server);
5. Experience with Docker and container orchestration;
6. Commercial Real Estate (CRE) knowledge is a bonus.

This position offers a base salary range of $147,700 - $258,400, based on relevant skills and experience and includes a generous benefits plan.
