Job Summary
The successful Software Implementation Specialist will be motivated and self-driven, and will be responsible for planning, establishing and managing the implementation of new software systems. This individual will be in charge of development and rollout, as well as serve as a liaison between the technical team (internal and external), management, and engineering for assigned projects. This individual should have strong communication skills which enable them to explain complicated concepts in a simple manner as well as have a good understanding of technical requirements and concepts. This individual will also meet with software representatives frequently in order to understand required content and coordinate with the technical team.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and develop a clear understanding of their business needs in the software tools
- Make software recommendations. Create Trade studies of possible solutions
- Specify and implement software solutions, according to internal customer needs
- Configure and customize software applications according to fit the company requirements
- Conduct software installations and provide comprehensive training to employees
- Work closely with the development team to identify and resolve software issues
- Provide ongoing technical support employees, ensuring satisfaction and driving usage of the software
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance software functionality and improve user experience
- Track implementation issues/bugs and find resolutions
- Be system Administrator controlling access for team members
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Organized with attention to detail
- Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning
- Thorough understanding of technology procedures and practices
- Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a ranges of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry
- Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer or Information Science, Software engineering or information management systems or related field required (Master’s Degree preferred)
- Three years of related experience in technology industry required
- Comfortable with budget planning, cost estimates, and project build outs.
- Prior experience as a consultant, project management or implementation rollouts related to clients.
- Able to collaborate with colleagues and clients.
Schedule
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Full time
- Some overtime may be needed
