The Role:
The Software Project Manager will play a critical role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our Software Product team by continually developing and improving staff capabilities and capacity to ensure business objectives are met, including the digital transformation of our customer-facing websites. This position will ensure that agile methodologies are adhered to, dependencies are managed across departments, and processes are continuously improved. This position will understand, effectively apply, and coach agile principles to help create and maintain an environment for continuous learning and relentless improvement.
What You Get To Do Everyday:
- Collaborate with product owners, software engineering, and stakeholders to ensure team execution and performance are aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with product, business, and development teams to define milestones and hold them accountable for each stage of the project.
- Determine and oversee consistent testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of all products in all stages.
- Protect, insulate, and guide teams toward achieving their committed objectives.
- Communicate progress tracking and reporting to all levels of the organization.
- Remove impediments and risks to the team so they can remain focused on achieving their goals.
- Coordinate with the business and share resources in planning meetings.
- Create and maintain relevant metrics to help the team assess their progress, opportunities, and successes.
- Advocate for incremental value-add and iterative development within the application using data-driven research.
- Assist in the coordination of release timing and organizational training.
- Lead and advocate for agile / scrum-based software development framework in a scaled environment.
- Plan, organize, allocate resources, and lead the operational activities of a function.
- Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies and procedures.
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
You Need to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Seven Years or more of experience with relevant product and project management, scrum, and agile
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and frameworks (and when to use each, e.g., Kanban, Scrum)
- Knowledge of product management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) and other roadmap frameworks
- Knowledge of project estimation techniques; specifically in an agile framework
- Ability to perform data analysis, business cases, and reporting techniques
- Ability to manage team relationships with outside stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-function team
- Ability to capture metrics of progress and forecast project status
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Excellent teambuilding skills with the ability to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing team.
- Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to effectively delegate responsibilities and authority and encourage individuals to decide how they will accomplish their goals and resolve issues.
- Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking ability.
