Position Purpose:
The Software Test Automation Engineer will develop, validate, and maintain automated software tests to exercise quality assurance of AvaSure software products.
Education & Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer engineering, or computer science is required.
- 4 years of software development required.
- 1 year of software quality assurance required.
- Competency in C# and SQL programming languages required.
- Competency in SQL Server and MongoDB server required.
- Certification in SQL Server/Database Management preferred.
- Certification in MongoDB Server/Database Management is preferred.
- Experience in React or Selenium preferred.
- Experience/familiarity with Microsoft Azure preferred.
- Experience with a test sequencing API is preferred.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Test Infrastructure
- Plan and implement new tests.
- Create testing requirements and data models within automated tests.
- Assign appropriate testing to each camera model.
- Collaborate with 3rd party vendors for testing.
- Conduct testing audits and re-evaluate overall testing strategy.
- Automated Testing
- Review automated testing errors and/or failure to meet requirements, then create tickets for issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis for testing errors.
- Design solutions for testing errors, such as coding in C#.
- Implement solutions for systems and access overall impact.
- Plan product testing and upcoming releases.
- Peer Reviews
- Review 3rd party vendor quality on code solutions.
- Make updates for dot.net.
- Conduct testing on the created test to validate functionality.
- Software Deployment
- Release tickets and related notes.
- Update software and coordinate publish timing.
- Maintain files on Tachi server and validate functionality.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
- While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time and use a computer.
- This position is full-time.
- The position is primarily remote with in-office meetings quarterly in Grand Rapids, MI.
