Software Test Practice Lead & Sr. SDET - Country Financial - Corporate

COUNTRY Financial is seeking a highly motivated Software Test Automation Practice Lead/Sr. SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)  for the TCoE team. This position is a senior role that offers an excellent opportunity for the ideal candidate to own and deliver the direction and strategy of Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering (QA/QE) practices throughout Country Technology 

With the increasing focus in software delivery on quality at speed, our requirement to deliver QA and QE services increases. Generally, this is leading to increasing demand for technical testing practices in the pipeline and CI platforms emphasizing earlier test automation. 

This position offers a hybrid work schedule and is based out of our corporate offices in Bloomington, IL.

How does a Software Test Automation Practice Lead/Sr. make an impact?

• Designs solutions after gathering business and technical requirements. 
• Develops software solutions that are high performing and meet technical standards. 
• Supports testing and problem solving/debugging of solutions. 
• Implements software solutions following best practices. 

Do you have what we're looking for?

• Expertise in Software Quality Assurance practices.
• Expertise in test automation and other technical QE skills (Python, Pytest, Selenium, Roboframework, API and other automation test frameworks).
• Proven background of delivering successful test automation projects.
• Experience (2 to 5+ years) as a team lead.
• Experience with IT development methodologies (e.g. Agile/Scrum, waterfall).
• Ability to take ownership of the practice and to work autonomously.
• Flexible and able to cope with a constantly changing, dynamic and exciting environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Open-minded, team player.
• Strong analytical problem solving-skills, attention to detail and the ability to think out of the box.
• Customer centric with a proactive attitude.
• Excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written. 
• Typically requires 10 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
