Marketwise Solutions is looking to add several talented developers to our teams. These roles would be located primarily in Baltimore, MD or Delray Beach, FL but there is potential for remote working arrangements as well. Responsibilities:Open roles include:
- Front End Software Engineer
- Full Stack Developer
- Salesforce Software Engineer
- Senior Software Engineer
Front End Software Engineer:
- BS or MS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Technology related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in development of User Interfaces, leveraging HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, ReactJS, Ajax, TypeScript or comparable languages.
- Experience developing within frameworks (e.g., Salesforce Lightning Web Components or a CMS like WordPress).
- Strong coding habits (e.g., writing quality unit tests, comments, thoughtful naming, use of patterns).
- Experience creating code to meet personalized needs and requirements.
- Proficient with visual design programs such as Adobe Photoshop or XD.
- Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Experience with AWS a plus.
Full Stack Developer:
- 5+ years of web development experience in a professional environment
- Experience with AWS is a must.
- Solid understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript.
- Working Experience with AWS API Gateway, AWS Lambda, and Serverless Framework is a must
- Working Experience with React, Mobx, MST, React Hooks is a must.
- Angular a plus.
- Experience with Aurora SQL and MongoDB is a must.
- Experience with Sass, Bootstrap.
- Experience with Redis, DynamoDB, WordPress, and any other AWS services is a plus
- Version control experience and understanding of Git.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be highly adaptable.
Salesforce Software Engineer:
- BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or a similar field is desired, but not required; you should understand data structures and algorithms.
- 3+ years of professional experience developing software on the Salesforce platform (e.g., Apex, LWC, Communities).
- Solid Java programming and SQL query skills.
- Desire and ability to write clean, beautiful code, including unit tests.
- Passion for learning and adopting new technology.
- Obsession with customer service and delivering business value.
- Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Experience with AWS, a plus.
- Experience with Angular, ReactJS, a plus.
Senior Software Engineer:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in software engineering, design and development of scalable web based applications.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics, Physics or a similar field.
- 7+ years of experience in full stack web development.
- Excellent Python coding skills and understanding of Python best practices.
- Experience with Python web frameworks and front-end frameworks like Angular.
- Experience in designing and developing Web Services and RESTFUL APIs using Python.
- Three (3) years of cloud based development experience (Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code, including unit tests (TDD).
- Passion for learning and adopting new technology.
- Obsession with customer focus and delivering business value. Demonstrate ownership, urgency and drive.
- Strong understanding of data structures.
- Knowledge of architecture and software design patterns (Collections, DI, IoC, MVC, TDD etc).
- Experience in building data intensive systems.
- Development with data in PostgreSQL or comparable relational database management system (RDBMS).
- Ability to write complex queries using SQL and NoSQL statements.
- Experience with security frameworks.
- Experience with ElasticSearch and machine learning frameworks.
- Experience with performance tuning.
- Proficient on version control tools such as Git, Github, GitLab or similar.
- Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Preferred but not required:
- Agile/ Scrum experience.
- Full stack development experience.
- Experience working with real-time financial data.
- Experience with data-intensive distributed applications.
- Knowledge of the investment space.
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, CouchDB, DynamoDB).
