Position Overview:
This person is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager and Residential Operations staff to maintain and track inventory levels and prepare job materials for residential operations, including Service, EPC and BNC crews. Job responsibilities include planning staging schedules, staging of materials, restocking pack out kits, managing shared tools, small parts and equipment, and stocking installation vans with materials.
Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for counting and reporting on warehouse inventory and residential stock to support the Warehouse Manager.
- Follow the installation schedules to manage job staging and material preparation, including but not limited to EPC, BNC, DE/RE, Service and Field Tech crews.
- Print and prepare documents for upcoming projects in coordination with job staging schedule
- Oversees and/or supports receiving shipments and unloading trucks
- Prepares shipments for pick up (including freight) and maintain accurate documentation for relevant stakeholders
- Responsible for ensuring the warehouse is safe, clean, and orderly at all times
- Support and manage daily activities of warehouse assistant
- Oversee and support with stocking vans with install materials for next day
- Support tool library administration and keep accurate records of shared installation tools and equipment, including power tools, hand tools, shared tools and ladders
- Support safety with storing safety equipment and PPE in shared warehouse space
- Collaborate with fleet team to schedule and conduct routine inspections on residential install vehicles
- Effectively communicate with warehouse staff, operations, and crews to maintain up to date information regarding what is needed for crews/projects
- Supports projects to streamline workflow for warehouse and operations, in collaboration with warehouse and operations teams
- Support projects to increase install crew efficiency in collaboration with operations and warehouse manager.
- Support Warehouse Manager with any warehouse related administrative duties including inventory management, tool tracking, RMA processing, receiving/shipping, and data entry
- Responsible for accurate placard creation and label making
- Supports routine trash, recycling, and facilities stock of deicing, propane, ice machines, etc.
- Supports special recycling such as like module, metal, Styrofoam, etc.
- Support facilities team with snow removal and keep outdoor spaces safe and orderly.
- Reports to Warehouse Manager
Essential Functions (Specific Tasks/Deliverables)
- Work with Warehouse Manager to create daily warehouse priorities for jobs and materials staging
- Accurately prints and prepares documents for installation crews to coincide with materials staging
- Support stage materials and equipment to meet install schedules
- Transports materials and equipment between locations via a box truck or other shared vehicle
- Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe working space within warehouse, loading docks and parking lots
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Understanding of solar PV materials, electrical equipment and installation standards
- Ability to operate forklift, box truck and large van
- Must be highly organized, able to multi-task and set priorities
- Comfortably able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, and work outside in varying temperatures
- Effective problem solver, willing to coordinate with various stakeholders to find solutions
- Proficient with computers and the following applications: Smartsheet, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office 365
- Must possess valid Driver's License, and meet requirements of company insurance carrier
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Positive, team mentality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Non-essential (Valued but not required skills & experience)
- NABCEP Certification
- Residential Wireman
- Familiar with solar equipment, including multiple racking and mounting applications
- Ability to read electrical plans and one-line diagrams
- Forklift certified
Physical demands & work environment:
- Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, co-owner is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Comfortably able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, and work on roof tops in varying temperatures. Vision abilities required by the job include close vision.
- Work environment: The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate. Work environment is in the warehouse.
