Solder Technician - Space
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to follow written instructions.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and diagrams.
- Performs assessment of product quality.
- Keeps work area clean and orderly.
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate barcode scanning equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Performs the following job duties as assigned:
- Soldering
- SMT
- Through-hole
- High thermal mass
- Rework Solder & Coating
- Polymeric
- X-ray/AOI
- Masking/De-masking
- Complex Box Builds
- Hand Marking
- Mechanical Assembly
- Data Entry
- PWA Cleaning
- General Inspection
- Component Prep
- Photographs
- Packing
- Material Handling
- Part Tinning
- High school education or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years of soldering and assembly experience.
- Vision corrected to 20/20 and ability to distinguish colors.
- Standing or sitting for extended periods of time may be required.
- Infrequent lifting and moving of material up to 40 pounds.
- Successful completion of the following training programs (which are provided):
- ESD Certification Class 0
- Component Identification Training
- Moisture Sensitive Devices
- IPC-A-610 Certification
- J-STD-001 Certification
- IPC Space Addendum Certification
- IPC 7711 & 7721
- NASA 8739 Certification(s)
- Customer-specific requirements training, as needed.
- Component/PWB Handling
- Move Safe Product
- Layout Training
- Right-To-Know Training
- Inspection

- High school education or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years of soldering and assembly experience.
