CounterTek Inc. is a small, locally owned, business located in Ephrata, PA.
We manufacture and deliver custom-made vanities and countertops to our customers in the kitchen and bath industry.
Our products include laminate and postform countertops, solid surface countertops, and cultured marble vanity tops.
We currently have an opening for an experienced Solid Surface Fabricator to join our Solid Surface Department.
We are looking for someone who has "experience" in countertop fabrication.
This is a full-time permanent role.
Pay Rate is $17.00 - $20.00/hr., based on qualifications and experience. Overtime may be available at certain time periods.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Receive and inspect solid surface when delivered.
Study and interpret work order. Interpret measurements, verify specifications.
Pull solid surface sheets, matching glue, and sinks according to work order number and material colors.
Make sure sheet materials match.
Prepare sheets for cutting on the panel saw.
Cut sheets to specifications on the work order or template.
If V-Groove machine is to be used, ensure material is cut correctly to accommodate.
Place cut pieces on horses, place build-up and splash in an accessible area.
Apply MDF build-up to the areas required.
Apply glue to edges that require solid surface edges and clamp edges to tops.
Trim the edges with a router to flush edges.
Install seam mounted, drop in, or under mount sinks.
Prepare splash loose/cove according to work order, mount cove splash to top if specified.
Route specified profile edges using the designated router and bit.
Sand all pieces to the proper finish.
Ensure all additional services are completed such as cut outs, dishwasher mounting hardware, and drain boards.
Clean and package tops and place items in racks for delivery.
When orders are complete, proceed to Postform and assist with open orders.
Report any shortages, backorders, and damage to supervisor or manager to ensure the issues are taken care of.
Tend to equipment to ensure is it clean, free of debris and in good working order.
Listen to instructions from supervisor.
Resolve production and assembly issues.
Ensure work area is clean and safe.
Report low stock to supervisor.

Required Experience:

- Ability to read work orders

- Ability to wear company-supplied PPE (half-facepiece respirator, safety glasses, ear protection, clothing protection)
- Must have Countertop Fabrication experience
