Job Description
The Solution Architect designs and implements highly complex information systems and networked software architectures, aligned to IT strategies, that support business functions. They ensure all solution requirements are met within the design, such as availability and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand corporate architectural guidelines and standards.
- Support growth in a cost-effective manner by coordinating technical and operational dependencies for each product/domain, with standardization as a fundamental principle and a culture of agile delivery.
- Stay updated on the latest technology, solutions, and industry trends to conceptualize functional solutions that address business needs, opportunities, and issues.
- Understand the high-level system architecture/portfolio that supports the business and the key process areas supported by the IT systems.
- Outline solution architecture descriptions across domains, functions, and industries to meet defined business needs.
- Develop end-to-end solution processes and prepare technical documents, including time and cost estimation and implementation requirements.
- Determine which potential applications/technology solutions would require changes to satisfy business needs.
- Engage appropriate architecture leaders to determine conformity and impacts to architecture standards for designs under review.
- Must have a background in pharmacy, either as a pharmacy technician, pharmacist, or having worked closely with pharmacy systems.
- Experience in the pharmacy field is essential to understand business requirements and craft appropriate solutions.
- Preferred: Exposure to oncology, particularly radiation or medical oncology systems, to understand the business model and requirements in these areas.
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
- 3 years of experience required; 5 years preferred.
- 1 year of leadership or management experience preferred.
- Experience as an architect, analyst, builder, and/or implementer in one or more of the following capabilities: Epic, Oncology, Ambulatory, Credentialing, Pharmacy, Senior Living, Voice Recognition, Patient Throughput, Care Management, Population Health, Home Health.
