About the role

We are looking for a Solution Architect to join our Melbourne office on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting business and technical requirements, translating them into actionable architectural blueprints, and working closely with product owners and managers to ensure future business needs are supported.

You will evaluate current technology solutions, monitor emerging trends, and recommend improvements to ensure systems align with architectural principles. As a technical leader, you’ll provide guidance throughout project lifecycles, lead architecture reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Additionally, you’ll oversee solution implementations, develop governance processes, and conduct regular architecture assessments to ensure compliance. As a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, you will present complex technical concepts in clear terms for non-technical audiences and deliver strategic architecture roadmaps to executive leadership.

Risk management and problem solving are also critical aspects of the role, where you’ll identify risks in solution designs, lead troubleshooting efforts, and capture lessons learned to enhance future designs. A key focus will be driving the integration of AI and intelligent automation, collaborating with business units to identify high-impact use cases that will enhance our technology ecosystem.

The experience we are looking for

• Significant experience in solution, cloud, technical, or infrastructure architecture, with a strong background in software development, systems integration, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
• A proven track record in leading large-scale technology projects and designing robust, scalable systems.
• In-depth knowledge of solution architecture, cloud architecture patterns, microservices, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
• Expertise in identifying and applying emerging technology trends to drive innovation and support evolving business models.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distil complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for non-technical stakeholders, including executive teams.
• Bonus: Experience with AI technologies, particularly in the context of automation and process optimisation.
