Overview
The Solution Designer will be responsible for interfacing with business units to understand their needs, working with various architecture and development teams to create a solution to the business need utilizing application and services infrastructure, and then working with impacted development and testing team(s) to ensure successful delivery of the proposed solution. Projects will include working with business needs for Video, High Speed Data, Digital Voice and other emerging technologies.

Overview
- The Solution Designer is a technial role similar to an Enterprise Architect someone who can fill the gap between Business Analysts and development teams. You will be a member of our client's eCommerce and Self Service team deployed to projects as the requirements and analysis phase of the SDLC is concluding, and technical analysis, design and planning is beginning. The resource must be able to:
- Communicate and collaborate with many stakeholder groups, from executive sponsors, end users, and business analysts, to system analysts, software engineers, quality assurance testers and system administrators, to the enterprise architecture team members, ultimately brokering many different points of view to consensus and clarity.
- Quickly assess requirements in various documented artifacts for gaps and ambiguity before a technical design can be fully depended upon.
- Understand enterprise architectures, shared services and common components and their associated roadmaps, and how each may or may not affect detailed technical design and planning for a set of functional requirements in the later stages of the SDLC.
- Produce, describe and present technical design artifacts, include UML diagrams, particularly class diagrams, sequence diagrams & deployment diagrams

- You will work on either of theses projects
- Re-engineering/re-platforming of instant message/chat system used by our client's Call Center personnel to interact with customers.
- Running, maintaining enhancing self-service portal
- College/University graduate or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years gathering, analyzing and writing IT requirements experience in a complex work environment
- Background in architecture and business/system analysis
- Minimum 5 years working in IT with SDLC
- Proficiency in documenting gathering Requirements with the ability to tell the difference between good and bad Requirements and the ability to turn nebulous Requirements into something actionable
- An understanding of SOA and experience writing requirements in a SOA environment
- Knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design
- Experience using Web Services (not developing them)
- The ability to determine what systems are needed to fullfil the need
- The ability to read an XML document
- Use Case definition
- Architecture diagramming
- Strong experience creating diagrams such as Sequence Diagrams and Activity Diagrams n a technical environment
- Experience conducting JAD/RAD/AGILE /Waterfall scrum sessions
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Advanced proficiency with use of Microsoft Office applications including, Word, MS Project, Excel and Visio and other tools that facilitate the requirements gathering and design phases of the SDLC
