Position Summary:
Within this Food Production Organization, their focus remains on advancing their technological infrastructure. Over the last 18 months, they've successfully rolled out SAP S4, SAP Trade Promotion Management (TPM), Boomi for integration & EDI, and integrated Planning & Analytics using the Microsoft Azure/PowerBI application stack. Presently, they're in pursuit of a Solution Architect to spearhead the technical design and integration efforts for their ongoing technology roadmap initiatives.
Their roadmap entails integrating Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Integrated Business Planning, and Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, while also enhancing their existing application landscape. Additionally, they're planning to introduce the Microsoft Power Platform for streamlined low/no code application development.
Primary Responsibilities:
Solution Design: Collaborate with Product Owners and IT Service Owners to understand business objectives and technical requirements, designing end-to-end solutions that align with these needs.
Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership to ensure adherence to architectural and design principles throughout the project lifecycle.
System Integration: Evaluate and recommend integration strategies for various applications and systems to create efficient and seamless solutions.
Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their relevance to company projects and strategies.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and best practices.
Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Performance Optimization: Work with IT Service Owners to optimize solution performance, scalability, and security.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as a technical liaison between Product and IT Service Owners, facilitating effective communication and understanding of technical aspects.
Program & Project Management Support: Collaborate with program & project managers to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
Qualification Requirements:
Must-have:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
- 8+ years of IT-related experience.
- Prior experience as an application developer or software engineer.
- Experience with multiple integration frameworks and ecosystems.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Experience facilitating Requirements Discovery sessions.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Desired:
- Experience in writing and executing test cases.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and Visio.
- Working knowledge of organizational change management concepts.
- Experience in the consumer packaging or manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

This Solution Architect role prioritizes candidates with a background in application development or software engineering. Business-facing experience is a plus but secondary to technical expertise. This role focuses on integrating new user-facing systems, making experience with systems like Human Capital Management valuable. Candidates outside Columbus, OH, are welcome, provided they are willing to travel.
