We are seeking a skilled and innovative Solutions Architect to lead the design and architecture of a cutting-edge product built on the Salesforce platform. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring our solutions are scalable, high-performing, and aligned with business requirements. This role will balance high-level solution architecture responsibilities with hands-on development, guiding the team in technical best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable web applications, particularly on the Salesforce platform. The Solution Architect will work closely with stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and UX design, to deliver exceptional customer-centric solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design & Architecture:
- Lead the architecture and design of complex web- and Salesforce-based solutions, ensuring they align with business goals and best practices.
- Define data models, application components, and integration strategies for seamless functionality across multiple systems.
- Create and document technical architectures that leverage Salesforce features and capabilities (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud).
- Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of all solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand functional and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with product managers, development teams, and business analysts to create solution roadmaps and execution plans.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions while ensuring alignment with Salesforce platform capabilities.
- Customization & Development:
- Oversee the customization and configuration of web or Salesforce components (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, etc.) to meet business objectives.
- Provide guidance and oversight to development teams, ensuring best practices in development and coding standards.
- Lead the integration of Salesforce with external systems, leveraging APIs and middleware as necessary.
- Governance & Best Practices:
- Define and implement best practices for solution governance, including version control, deployment, and security protocols.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure all technical deliverables align with the overall architectural vision.
- Ensure compliance with Salesforce's security guidelines and data protection standards.
- Technical Leadership:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Salesforce, staying updated on platform innovations and new releases.
- Mentor and guide development teams on Salesforce architecture, design patterns, and coding standards.
- Play an active role in the development and customization of Salesforce components using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other platform tools.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying new tools, techniques, and approaches to enhance software solutions and practices.
- Contribute to complex integrations and customizations, working side-by-side with the development team to solve technical challenges.
- Modern Web Application Development:
- (Preferred) Experience designing and building web applications using modern front-end/back-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js, or similar).
- Leverage modern development practices like microservices, RESTful APIs, and responsive web design when building solutions that integrate with Salesforce and other platforms.
- Provide insights on how Salesforce can be enhanced through the use of modern tech stacks in adjacent applications.
- Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Define testing strategies and lead quality assurance activities to validate that solutions meet business and technical requirements.
- Oversee the resolution of any technical issues or bugs in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, with 3+ years of experience in Salesforce platform architecture and development.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, high-performing solutions both with standard web technologies as well as on the Salesforce platform.
- Deep experience with Salesforce products (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud) and third-party integrations.
- Solid understanding of data architecture, data management, and security protocols within the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of modern web technologies such as JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and back-end services (e.g., Node.js, Python).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex business and technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in Salesforce development tools such as Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce DX.
- Expertise in Salesforce integration patterns, APIs, web services, and middleware solutions.
- Salesforce Architect certifications (e.g., Application Architect, System Architect) are highly desirable.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
