About the Job
Benefitfocus.com, Inc., the leading producer of employee benefits software is looking for an energetic, assertive and articulate�Solutions Engineer�to join a dynamic team of sales individuals. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience presenting the functional and�technical side of software to �C� level customers within the enterprise sales process.�
- Work in conjunction with our Enterprise Sales Team as the lead technical representative during the pre-sales process
- Deliver detailed, comprehensive�software demonstrations to�prospective customers onsite, online, and via telephone
- Work in a challenging, fast-paced environment to provide expert knowledge of our software products and implementation methodology
- Assess prospective customers� business and technical needs and design complex software solutions to meet those needs
- Prepare estimates, proposals, and scopes of work for large software implementation projects
- Work with product management and engineers to understand Benefitfocus� product offering and technical architecture
- Travel up to 50% in support of sales engagements
- Assist in the completion of functional and technical responses for RFI/ RFP�s
- Additional duties as assigned
This position can be based in Washington or Oregon.

Required Experience:
- Experience demonstrating complex application functionality and designing customer-specific software solutions for large enterprise deals
- Knowledge of enterprise-level software technology, including server hardware, networking, web applications, electronic data exchange, and service -oriented architectures�
- At least 3-5 years general software industry experience
- 2+ years experience selling both software products and services, preferably in one of these industries: employee benefits, human resources, payroll, healthcare, or other HCM practices
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in computer software or systems. Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree preferred, or substitute degree/experience in human resources, employee benefits, or healthcare.
