Job Title: Mobile Ultrasound Sonographer
Overview: Our client is looking for a Mobile Ultrasound Sonographer to provide ultrasound services in various healthcare settings, including nursing homes, home care facilities, and processing sites. This role involves performing ultrasounds, managing portable equipment, and maintaining effective communication with team members and clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Management: Transport and unload portable sonographic equipment from a vehicle and set it up in facilities to perform exams as ordered by physicians.
- Ultrasound Procedures: Perform and process ultrasounds using portable sonographic equipment, ensuring high-quality, clinically diagnostic images, and send them digitally to a Radiologist for interpretation.
- Documentation: Scan and process exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily according to protocol.
- Communication: Maintain regular, efficient, and professional communication with peers, management, dispatch department, and clients.
Schedule and Shift Details:
- Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Location: Various healthcare facilities (nursing homes, home care, etc.)
- Weekends: No weekends required
- Relocation: Possible, to be discussed during the interview
- Licensure Reimbursement: Available after 90 days of employment
Qualifications Required:
- Experience: Must have experience in vascular ultrasound.
- Certification: Valid certification in one or more of the following:
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- American Registry of Diagnostic Sonography (ARDMS)
- CCI Vascular Ultrasound
- Vaccination: Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination required. Proof must be submitted with the candidate packet; otherwise, the candidate will be automatically declined.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.
- Driver’s License: Valid regular driver’s license in good standing, with periodic checks.

Physical Demands:
- Equipment Handling: The role requires lifting the equipment bag into and out of the vehicle and/or wheeled cart at the patient’s bedside, requiring 18 to 20 pounds of force. The equipment bag is placed into a wheeled cart and pulled for up to 250 feet, requiring an initiating force of 10 lbs. and a sustained force of 5 to 8 pounds.
