About the Role
The Sourcing Manager role is an integral part of the Integrated Supply Chain function. This person will be responsible for managing Turtle Integrated sourcing/pricing exercises, as well as managing and maintaining price files and supplier web-logins. This includes but is not limited to market baskets and sourcing events, evaluating product and supplier pricing and market trends. The Sourcing Manager plays a key role in training and supporting field purchasing personnel. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, project management skills, strong excel skills, and attention to detail.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with our preferred suppliers to complete pricing/quoting exercises
- Work with the Category Managers to develop special pricing agreements with their suppliers.
- Work with Category Managers and their supplier relationships to complete customer quote exercises
- Manage the Customer bid process from bid receipt to submission.
- Manage and maintain price files and supplier pricing/login database.
- Assist in creating new hire process for price files and supplier logins.
- Assist in the creation and management of training materials, sourcing plans, etc.
What You’ll Bring
- College degree in related field is preferred. Degree may be substituted for significant documented experience within integrated supply.
- 2+ years of experience as sourcing specialist, preferably in the industrial distribution industry
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and experience with data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with pricing software and tools preferred.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills. Computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong skills in Excel / PowerPoint; Project Management software
- Ability to work remote in an office setting with the ability to video conference and use of strong working internet.
