POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for manager supplier costs, contracts and relationships. This position will require strong negotiation and communication skills in meeting company goals and objectives.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor degree in Business with 8 years experience in sourcing in a related industry or equivalent combination of both.
Strong product background and/or industry knowledge required
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have the ability to communicate persuasively, both orally and in writing, with other managers, staff, and the public; must be mature, creative, highly motivated, resistant to stress, flexible, decisive, tactful, respectful, and use good judgment, and must have ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with supervisors, professional staff members, consultants, agencies, and customers; and, must have an exceptional understanding of financial reports with the ability to manipulate and make justifiable recommendations based on financial predictions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position is required to sit, stand and walk; stoop, bend, reach and kneel occasionally; and lift from 20 to 25 occasionally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Noise, dust, lighting, temperature and physical/ergonomic hazards are typically of those usually found in an office environment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading and being responsible for sourcing suppliers, developing suppliers and building mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers.
- Develop and maintain customer relations to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Determining best options and make recommendations by evaluating total cost and quality of indirect materials and services across a diverse range of categories.
- Procurement of critical indirect materials and services to meet forecasts, production/maintenance requirements, and aggressive capital project schedules.
- Acting as an instrumental part in innovating, developing, and implementing leading procurement category strategies, identify and leverage company-wide spend opportunities where applicable.
- Liaising between sites, suppliers, and stakeholders for assigned projects and initiatives and implement relevant indirect categories strategies as assigned.
- Defining and implementing KPI’s to track performance.
- Provide direction and support to teams for initiatives critical to the business.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.
- Is always respectful of diversity and professional in all interactions
