Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, expertise, and leadership to our kitchen, helping to maintain and elevate our high standards of food quality and presentation. Working closely with the Executive Chef, you will play a key role in menu development, kitchen management, and team training, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional Hawaiian fusion dishes to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Menu Innovation: Assist in the development and execution of our Hawaiian fusion menu, incorporating fresh ideas and techniques while staying true to our brand identity.
Kitchen Leadership: Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Ensure the team adheres to high standards of culinary excellence and safety.
Quality Control: Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring consistent quality. Manage inventory and procurement of high-quality ingredients.
Operational Efficiency: Streamline kitchen operations to ensure smooth service during peak hours. Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising on the quality of ingredients or dishes.
Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, complying with health regulations and restaurant policies.
Guest Satisfaction: Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests. Address and incorporate guest feedback to continually improve our offerings.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Lead Line Cook, preferably in a fast-casual or upscale dining setting.
A passion for Hawaiian fusion cuisine and a creative approach to menu development.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff.
Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Knowledge of current culinary trends, cooking techniques, and health and safety regulations.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable.
