What s in it for you:
- $55,000-$65,000 annual salary (based on experience)

As the Sous Chef, you will:
- Work with chef to create daily specials.
- Ensure that all staff prepares menu items following recipes and yield guides, according to Executive Chef standards.
- Develop new, inspired menu items that continuously elevate guest experiences.
- Work on the line during service hours and assist wherever needed.
- Ensure that quality and details are being maintained.
- Monitor and manage staff to ensure that state sanitation/health regulations are met or exceeded.
- Inspect the cleanliness of the line, floor, and all kitchen stations; direct staff to rectify any deficiencies.
- Maintain proper storage procedures as specified by Health Department
- Partner with Executive Chef to always ensure effective communication with line cooks and service staff.
- Ensure service staff are informed of 86 d items and amount of available menu items throughout meal service time.
- Take physical inventory of food items daily to prepare and place the daily produces, meat and seafood orders.
- Oversee and train new hires in specified phases of kitchen operation; maintain an on-going training program for existing staff.
- Promote positive guest experiences and build relationships that create ongoing loyalty.
- Actively observe guest reaction and confer with service staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Exhibit a friendly, helpful and courteous attitude when dealing with guests and fellow Kennebec team members.
